Bailando with Sally is a dance and art project focused on wellbeing, mental health, and community, founded in Portsmouth, with a therapeutic and inclusive approach that promotes emotional connection, self-care, self-love, and personal expression through movement and art. Within the project, Alchemy of Art emerges as its multidisciplinary stage production: an inclusive artistic experience that brings together live music, visual art, movement, silence and presence, creating spaces to pause, feel and connect emotionally.
Inspired by migration, cultural roots and collective memory, Alchemy of Art has presented four previous shows, and this fifth edition marks its first performance in London, made possible after presenting the project to the Anglo- Bolivian Society, who have supported and welcomed us to accompany their Valentine’s celebration on 14 February 2026, inviting audiences to take part in a human and transformative experience where art becomes a universal language that connects cultures and communities.
Sally Nashira Zurita Valda is a dancer, journalist and cultural producer, founder of Bailando with Sally and creator of Alchemy of Art. Born in Bolivia and based in the UK, her work is shaped by migration, cultural roots and a strong commitment to wellbeing, mental health and community. Alchemy of Art is brought to life by an interdisciplinary team of eight artists: Alex (host/dancer), Sara, Jacqueline and Alejandro (musicians/singers), Raquel (visual artist), Julio (technical support) and Ann (videographer), creating inclusive, humancentred artistic experiences.
